Shanida Lorie Gue was born in Cap-Rouge on June 21, 2007. Her mother's name is Christa Gue. Shenida's mother, Christa Gue, got pregnant at a very young age. Her parents did not approve of the young man, which was the beginning of the tragedy for little Shanida.
 
Since birth she has been living with her grandmother as her mother was still in school, but unfortunately her mother has now dropped out of school. Shanida doesn’t even know who her father is. Even on the birth certificate, there is no mention of him. What makes it more difficult for the family is the fact that Shanida grandmother has 7 of her own children. Now she has to look after her granddaughter as well.
 
Shanida is presently attending the Arms of Jesus Children's School in Cap-Rouge. We have accepted her at the school in faith that we will be able to find a sponsor. At the school she receives a nutritious meal every day.
