Alma is a very quiet girl, and you can see through her face that she is not really happy. Her mother was blind and she used to go out and beg for money because she had no other way of making a living. Alma's mother died of liver cancer a month ago and now she lives with her grandparents in a very poor situation. Also living with Alma's grandparents is her younger brother who is 3 years old.

Her home is made out of cornstalks; they have covered it with plastic sheet to prevent water or cold wind from coming in.

With your help, Alma will be able to attend The Arms of Jesus School, where she will learn about an Eternal Father who loves her; she will be able to receive love, care and education so she might expect a better future.
