Alex Eduardo is four years old; he is a happy, smiling, dynamic little boy. He likes to play practical jokes on his family. He enjoys playing ball and marbles with his friends and his favorite dish is chicken and rice. He wants to go to school very much and when he grows up he would like to be a firefighter.
Alex Eduardo's father's name is Hermelindo; he is 37 years old and works as a farm laborer. His mother's name is Gilberta; she is 36 years old and works as a housewife. Alex has five siblings: Jesús who is 14 years old and in third grade; Sandy who is 13 years old and she is also in third grade; José Ignacio who is 11 years old and in second grade in the AOJ school; Esvin who is 10 years old and in first grade; and Berta who is only one year old.
Alex Eduardo's family is very poor; they do not have much in the way of possessions or income, but his parents make a valiant effort to provide for their children as best as they can. Often times however, they just do not have the money to buy what they really need. Their children's attendance at school puts a real strain on the family budget and there is reason to put them out to work instead.
The family house was donated and built by the mission. They have electricity and running water.
Please consider whether you could help Alex Eduardo. Your sponsorship through the Arms of Jesus Children's Mission may decide whether he goes to school or not, whether he gets an education or not, whether he achieves his potential and becomes a productive member of his society or not.
